Spokanemt.com and spokanemusictherapy.com (and variants thereof) is a community-focused site dedicated to helping laymen and professionals alike by providing a resource related to music, music theory, music therapy, and related information that may be of use to all.

This site is neither endorsed nor approved by any official music therapy entity, it is only a community-driven website.

The founder of the website, Hawke Robinson, (and facilitator of the monthly community meetings) is not a practicing music therapist, nor has any current certifications, degrees, or other credentials. He is currently working on degrees in Recreation Therapy, Music, and Research Psychology at Eastern Washington University.

The discussions at the meetings are open to all wishing to share information about music theory, music culture, or music therapy in general, or more specifically in the greater Spokane area. Professionals are welcomed to attend the meetings to provide information to the community, laymen, and aspiring professionals.

The goal of the site is to attempt to grow awareness about the aforementioned topics, and provide a central hub of information, and community interaction for the area.
